    New Peacoat!

I meant the one from Gieves & Hawkes.

    New Peacoat!

Is this from their RTW line or was it made for a Royal Navy serviceman? (If the latter there will likely be a pocket tag with his name written in it.)

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

Hopefully someone links him up with the VLJ guys. He'll get a better price (no eBay fees) and probably make some friends while at it.

    New budget M-65 Field Jacket?

Speaking of Polish makers, I was reading somewhere (maybe Styleforum) about a very traditional tailor there who still makes jackets/coats in the traditional Central European style of suits. I meant to save the name to pass along to you because that would be a cool maker to visit and get...

    Lost Worlds’ founder Stuart interviewed

The quirks of makers can get weird. Arguably I'm bothered less by outright bad service though than when your order is changed for your own good, with the vendor thinking it's a service to you, as at least a couple of us experienced from a forum favorite Aero dealer.

    Aero Board Racer Leather help

Jacket looks good but the shirt tail just makes me think maternity wear.

Photos of cool jackets owned by others (non-brand specific)

I've seen that guy's site before. It does come across as a personal project rather than some cash-in like those sites you get whenever you search a famous person or character's name + jacket. The question for me is where the quality lands given how low the prices are, but he doesn't seem to be...

    Recommendations for men's dress shoes?

I don't know when this happened in American English but anything a step up from jeans and sneakers got labeled "dress" shirts and "dress" shoes even if they're what a factory worker wears lol. @Lorinz I know we've been throwing a lot of brands at you, but answer my question about the type of...

    Recommendations for men's dress shoes?

“Gentleman style”? I don’t know what this means. Do you mean shoes to be worn with a suit?

    Real McCoy's steerhide question

Ha I thought I was the only person who preferred the old ownership, stricter repro RMC stuff.

    Recommendations for men's dress shoes?

I don't know how many people here would be advising you to pick up designer stuff anyway, with some exceptions maybe like RRL/RLPL on sale. Do you prefer shoes or boots? Slip on or lace? You've left the specifics pretty vague so far but your price point will cover a lot of good stuff.

Star Glove Co by Lost Worlds is best ever

OP of this thread had one for a while. Terry and Jake took video + photos of a LW Trojan but it was neither of their size so it was more to document the leather and stuff.

    New Budget M-65?

Does it have to be M-65 or are you open to other similar field jackets? There are some great options out there and I can understand the concern about the issues that pop up with vintage, like things that are new in package but still have a musty smell. Happy to make recommendations based on...

    Vanson! Vanson! Vanson!

It's one of their coolest jackets to me. I got the Comet over it only because I happened to see and snatch up an Octagon Comet on the rack.

    1930s Belted Back Jacket PATTERN

The suit in the photo looks quite nice although my preference is for coats–especially belted back sporting coats like this or a Norfolk–to have a slightly more flared skirt. But there is a nice hourglass shape here; I believe it's the ventless construction that's restraining it, so to say. I...

    Jacket you “should” like?

The Ridley Thurston Brothers sent me instead when I ordered one of the classic V-shaped leather jackets, because their policy is that for sizes under 44, they think people will like the slim Ridley pattern more... which I discovered well into my order being underway. At that point I didn't want...
