I have a "system" that I've grown to like and trust--it's not that the jacket needs the neatsfoot oil, rather, this soaking, drying, and the "anointing" with my balm is it's baptism into a life with me ;)
More to report as the reports come!

Howdy all,
So, two jackets and a waistcoat in, I decided to trade in my size 38 unfinished Type III and waistcoat towards a roughout size 42 type Type III. The goal of the build was to eliminate points of failure in my other jacket builds, and to permit me to wear the Roughneck Type III in the...
Are you *sure* it's half a size too big for you? :D Denny thinks it's possible that it shrunk a bit from the time it was sewn, since it's been out in the rain ;)
Check the eBay listing that has pictures with measuring tape!

It's grown too small for me, alas - after being fat during covid, I bought it when I was skinny, and then I started to work out :/ But I "know" how to break these in now, it takes me just 1-2 years, I could "remake" a new version of this jacket relatively quickly.
Alright ladies and gents, last call for this jacket - more pictures and info on the eBay listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226121933385
If no takers, will send in to Aero at the end of the week.
Cheers,

If I didn't "need" another jacket, then I suppose I would consider it! But as I use my J-106 in the winter, and it's too hot in the summer, I need one "light" leather jacket for other seasons, so I'm selling this one for one that will fit me better.
To whom did you have my donating in mind?

I'm now contemplating selling this jacket, as I've been hitting the gym (!) and it's growing a bit tight. What do you guys think? Should I send it in to Aero along with my custom full leather Shackleton, or try and sell it here? It's pretty worn in as you can see..
Also, maybe some advice for...
I love this forum, and feel we're all striving for the same thing--I wish I could give more time to posting, but I suppose that what we wear and how we wear it shows the way. What I have is the implied journey with this custom J-106 and Type III :)
As with all these things, it's fake-it-till-you-make it.
I was a super shy kid, and I started to wear a brimmed hat to "practice being brave." I was shy to get a leather Jacket, but I reckoned, this is also practicing being brave. Then I was shy to go from the wool Tilley to the leather...
Type III come summer! I tried to saddle soap a soot stain from campfire coals on my sleeve, no bueno, as they say :D But that's what you get when you wear these jackets honestly, and in the wild!
Well lads, another year down, and another photo to show the evolution of this jacket! Coming up to 5 years that she's with me. This is from 2024-02-06, my buddy's film premier earlier this week:
