Both great choices, they normally come in calf leather. Mid weight and reasonably firm, it is a nice jacket to use everyday. What does the peacoat look like?

Not sure, as it has been some time, but I would suspect about 4 months nowadays. I have a fun idea to make with ELS, but I need to first get at my target weight :)

(Trigger warning) Are we giving too much credit for wabi-sabi/Japanese craftmanship reputation for uneven graining (especially in high visible area)?

I personally find having different grain or shades in panels to be nice when made tastefully. It all depends on the skill of the person cutting the leather. This for example is technically mismatched, but in my eyes it enhances the jacket. There were no expenses spared on this jacket. On...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Exactly what I noticed recently... RTW fashion clothing has become so expensive that it surpassed custom made tailoring. I don't get it. Very curious to have their house tweed in hand, thanks :D

Who makes this one btw? For a Winchest, I'd go with JL. This is what my smoke in black cherry bison looks like in case you didn't see it. They do have a burgundy bison.

Wise words to live by (jacket related)

I think we should remember, that if we are actively participating in this forum, we are part of a small niche of people. A niche of people that have an interest in clothing and want to go beyond the better known brands. Although the motivation to do so can be very different from member to...

Depends what characteristics you want in the leather and most importantly depends on the jacket type you are looking for. If I have understood you correctly, you are looking for a Little Wing or something in the same vein, for this I can only think of Johnson Leathers as a custom order. Some...

It is warm, as warm as wool lining I'd say. Where are you based? That jacket is bull hide though, not goat, they called the colour "purple haze"
