    Alternatives to Aero "Hooch Hauler"

That is a California Highway Patrol jacket. Specifically the PNW influenced WWL-41 model that Canuck mentions; both of us have this. If you call Johnson they might well have one available on the rack which would cost you much less than the customs that Canuck and I got.

Fitcheck Fine creek leon 44 or 42. Which one should i choose.

This doesn’t look like an improvement. And to be clear I don’t even have a ln inherent problem with extra space/folds (what’s called drape in tailoring) but that’s not what’s happening here. I think it’s cut extra big in the back and extra small in front because as @navetsea guessed some time...

Fitcheck Fine creek leon 44 or 42. Which one should i choose.

As a watch guy I would definitely not want my watch sticking out, and that's before we get to the watch crime sprees that have become commonplace in so many cities.

Fitcheck Fine creek leon 44 or 42. Which one should i choose.

The 44 is too big in all dimensions, the 42 simultaneously looks too small and too big. I would pass on both.

What backpack could concievably be appropriately styled for wear alongside a B3 or ANJ4

Check out Sandstorm Kenya. Been using their bags for over a decade.

    Alternatives to Aero "Hooch Hauler"

The King of the Road and Field Manhattan have basically nothing in common, unless you mean just having a D-pocket. The KotR is a pretty close repro of the early Sears Hercules jackets. As much as I like the finishing on Field's jackets, which is fantastic, unless this is going to be one jacket...

    Removable mouton collar construction

What I’m describing isn’t even a design flaw, because the collar doesn’t press —it just sits in the right place because it’s not cut to take an additional collar as for example a Schott Perfecto is. So once that’s on, it causes the discomfort. I think Aero uses a different a different shape for...

    Removable mouton collar construction

A word of warning (I just remembered). Aero jackets don’t do well with adding removable mouton. The collar is cut to hug your neck, so when you add something else on top it’s an extra inch or so of leather and fur that presses on your neck. This is why I basically never wear the fur collar...

Aero Half-belt Deluxe review and fitment check!

Fit, not fitment. A fitment would be something like a plumbing fixture.

    Removable mouton collar construction

Where are you based? Johnson could probably turn that around in a day or so.

FS: Sugar Cane Steerhide Sports Jacket

If it were two sizes bigger I would jump on it and sell off my half belts. Sugar Cane can do almost no wrong.

Has anyone had experience with Wested Horsehide

Yes and even weight can be misleading. I would skip the horsehide honestly; if you want something more weatherproof than the lamb, go for the goat.

Has anyone had experience with Wested Horsehide

You won’t find a warmth difference between any of these.

Has anyone had experience with Wested Horsehide

Why do you think goatskin would be warmer?

    Anyone here in UK ?

Just a heads up: This has not been the case in years. (And it's hurt the British economy of course, because people now don't come as a shopping destination in the same way.) All that said I would suggest not basing your trip around leather shop visits. Maybe do your planned Aero visit, but only...

    Perfecto authentic or fake?

In the 80s as jackets to switch out during shows. The 613 was already Johnny’s daily wear jacket for years before the band.

    Aero Horween horse hides

They actually make and sell fast-fading black belts designed for this to happen, haha. They have a satin/silk exterior that quickly wears off of the white core although this is often combined with the "traditional" method of rubbing the belt on rocks or wood to wear down the outer fibres! Of...

How long does it take to make an Aero jacket

That might explain it. I’m not super bothered because the delay led me to buy the 613SH… Just thought it was funny that they got the difficult part right but then forgot to send it.

How long does it take to make an Aero jacket

No idea. Might have been an oversight in the most literal sense if not realizing it was there? The funny thing for me is that during the six month wait (a month after it was made though I didn’t know it at the time) I bought my Perfecto (which I probably wouldn’t have if I had received my...
