There is a reason all these dudes back in the day wore suspenders with their high rise pants up to their nipples.
I hate that look. Give me mid-rise pants any day.
There is always a bunch of them on ebay. Some at crazy $399, but I have bought some for a more reasonable $130. They do show up. Navy are the rarest, and very expensive when mint. So I actually bought one in tan, bleached it, and dyed blue. Ain't no way I was paying $400 for one. Lol.
Kane-M snap fasteners are from a Japanese company and are popular in Asia. The company itself is old (100 years), but it is extemely unlikely that a 1940s European maker would source Asian snaps. More likely a contemporary jacket made in India or Pakistan.
Himel Bros offers a bunch of oil-tanned leathers. They do bespoke builds. A jacket there might run you north of 3 grand. Good jackets.

Thx. I am there right now, till January. If you have his name, pass it along. Still lots of old-style craftsmen in Poland - knife-making, tailoring, woodworking, etc.
I just found out that Helikon-Tex is a Polish company. And since my friend @barnabus loves his Helikon-Tex jacket, I should be patriotic and get one too...:)
Now I need to break it to my wife that I will be an old guy wearing a camo M-65, lol.
