    Shave of the Day

Congrats Jakob! How is the hunt for products that don't bother your girlfriend's allergy progressing?

What pens are we carrying today?

I just opened up a new Sheaffer TRZ from an auction. NOS, never inked and what an incredibly smooth nib. If I didn't know better I would swear it had been to a nibmeister. But what a slim pen, it cannot be over 1/4" in diameter.

New use for an old cigarette case

Well, I don't smoke, but hand out a lot of business cards. I found an older cigarette case in a flea market for a buck and decided to try it out. Works great with business cards and gets a lot of compliments. Anybody else using oldies like this for anything else?

    Lasting Quality?

I think because we buy so many things that are designed to be used up, that we accept a lower standard than we ought to. Ballpoint pens vs. fountain pens for example. I don't mind spending money to get quality, but I hate to spend it twice because the first thing wasn't up to the job.

    Restoration/Orphans/Satisfaction!

I am a sucker for the unloved/neglected whether it be an old razor, fountain pen or firearm. It saddens me to see something just neglected and I too, share the satisfaction of bringing one back.

    Shave of the Day

"experiment" ? EEK Today Gillette Long Adjustable Derby Blade C&E Nomad Soap Vintage Badger Brush Aqua Velva Musk AS 4 passes and an awfully nice shave

What do you use to shave?

Canadave, most regular sized glycerine soaps will fit just fine, Col Conk's etc. C&E sized triple milled soaps will have to be milled to fit. You can microwave glycerine soaps but not triple milled/hard soaps.

    Lasting Quality?

Sadly, many makers have lost the idea that quality matters.

What do you use to shave?

Hemingway, I truly enjoyed the pics you posted to on your site. Thanks. Inky, you can get a good used adjustable Gillette for $20 on up depending on condition and rarity. I buy/sell quite a few of them and you are better off dealing with someone on a forum like Badger and Blade than gambling...

What pens are we carrying today?

Today, I'm gambling with a couple of vintage while working. A Parker 21 Super in Dark Green loaded with Parker Quink Blue and an old Sheaffer cartridge pen, marked Goodyear Tires, loaded with Skrip Black.
