Tung oil is often used on gunstocks to restore or as an original finish. When you consider that custom gunmakers use this on stocks that can easily run into thousands of dollars, it is not something to fear.
Derby blades are my favorite. Very rarely do you get a bad one. I love my old Gillettes and have discovered that prep is the most important part of the shave. Proraso, Crabtree & Evelyn and Van der Hagen soaps have all served me well.
Well, gave the Taurus 38 a little TLC. Still gotta do something with the grips, but that is okay. Some brass wool & oil, then cleaned and cold blued. I wouldn't do this to a collector's gun, but for a bedside piece it is a lot better.
The little mud puppy cleaned up okay.
Picked up some solid guns in a trade today:
First a mud puppy Taurus 38, needs some tlc.....
Next an ex police Remington 870 for "social work"
and finally, the one I really wanted in the swap......a Winchester Model 12 in 16 Gauge! This one is still very tight and altough has honest wear from...
Sheaffer still puts very good nibs on their pens. Even the Javelin series has a very smooth nib. If you get one and are not happy with it, they will work on them for you. If you pick up a used one, there are several excellent "nibmeisters" out there to tune one for you.

Also, you will have to change the valve system in most motors as they were designed for leaded gasoline. As a driver, I would stick with post war Ford Chevy or GMC as the parts will be MUCH easier to find as opposed to IHC or Jeep for example.
It is also useful for those of us who carry a handgun, having a couple pounds of metal attached to your belt can be much more comfortable with suspenders to help keep everything from heading for the Mason Dixon Line!
Young Fogey, I would contact Cooncat Bob, he does very nice work on razors, I don't know if he can replate a TTO though

No Storm here Renault! I too, have found the same thing in ammo quality. Ultramag, Wolf have both failed me badly in the last year. Rimfire has been a crap shoot with the last 3 bricks i bought from Remington, Winchester and Federal. Hopefully, as the war in Afghanistan closes down, the makers...
