The only Camo I will ever wear is true USGI " m81 " woodland, and it has to be American made by a current or former Gov't contractor.
I will absolutely never touch imported reproductions of anything from the US military.
From my grandfather driving a tank across France with the 4th armored, my...
I just ordered my JWM cruiser, it will be interesting to see how it compares to my mother wool pieces when it arrives.
I do wish the pictures on their sight were better and there are also no reviews online, so I guess I'll be the Guinea pig.
Not that I'm too concerned considering how long...
What do you guys do when your wool meets a bit of rain ?
I just try to avoid rain as much as possible and hang it up in a warm room to dry as soon asap, but I don't know if there are any more ideal ways or whether wool can handle rain better than I give it credit for.
BTW does $45 shipping inside the US seem high to anyone else ?
I went through checkout on the JWM cruiser just to see what total I'm getting into and the shipping is going to be $45.
$335 total for the jacket, higher than expected but within budget.
Monday I'll be placing an order with JWM for their cruiser in the green and black small stag plaid they offer.
I had to think on it a bit because this will be my most expensive jacket to date, but the decision has been made.
Went with the TLW Illinois PD after work today, it's been a couple weeks since I've worn it.
Mostly been wearing the wool or the vintage Fidelity Cafe I've been liking so much since I got it, I don't currently have that many jackets so I don't post them every day.
It's been cold wet and windy...
I used to do that kind of costume every year, but the spirit gum always makes my nose itch and I've had trouble getting " nose wax " as they call it to stick.
As a kid / teenager my grandmother used to help me with the makeup because we both love Halloween.
She lives about an hour away now...
Just to add some Halloween content, heres the last 3 years.
You will see some things that got reused over the years, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I've made a lot of Halloween memories with the old wolverine work gloves and my m65.

I sure wish I still had that wool Jac...
I just made this one out of a vintage master lock key that was in my grandfather's toolbox when I inherited it, I'm going to put it on the JWM cruiser jacket I'm getting ready to buy.
Definitely, and it will be awesome when I'm at the store.
Sometimes it can be annoying to get the breast pocket buttoned back up at the register when I go to put my wallet away while trying to hurry up, with this design I can just put my wallet away and button it up later without worry of it...
So far I'm quite liking this woolrich I just received.
Paired with a henley under a flannel it's just enough enough for cool ( say low 60's ) and allows for good mobility in my arms when I'm out back plinking.
I've been an airgunner since I was 7 and it's mostly vintage or just traditional...
The woolrich Cape coat arrived, and I like it but it's definitely a lighter weight.
I thought my barn jacket was possibly towards the lighter side ( no point of reference) and this has gotta be 1/3-1/2 the weight.
Still this beats the heck out of a hateful cotton or fleece hoodie ( fleece makes...
I don't think a lightweight wool necessarily makes a less functional and practical tool to keep you warm in the outdoors, I think it can have it's own place and practical purpose but yes it is certainly less than it could be.
I am positive it costs much more than it has to as well.
