    Ebay Aero arrived

There must be a good seamstress in NJ who can do an excellent fitting job. Ask at your dry cleaners, for they may have some qualified people in mind.

    1930s vintage in today's gyms

Many of the vintage outfits were of 100% cotton so the wouldn't last very long. Today's synthetic materials are much more durable and can wear a long, long time.

1920's AIRSHIP PICS OF USS SHENENDOAH, Etc.

About 15 years ago I met a retired USN rigid airship pilot. We flew together in his fixed wing plane a few times as he shared stories of flying the airships from the 40's to the 70's. The Navy still uses a few for specified duties.

Restaurants As for retro eaterys there is a converted 1940's gas station in central Pennsylvania that has some nolstlgia. At the corner of Routes 104 and 35 in Mt. Pleasant Mills(Snyder County). The interior has about six tables and a bar with stools. Auto-shop items from the 40's and 50's...

    Orignal A-2 Jacket Care

Wood or shaped plastic hangers work fine. Just do not put any leather jacket on a wire hangar, as a crease can form in the leather.

    A-2s for Weight control

I do appreciate the creative ways for weight control. Some of these incentives are a bit humorous. It is good to hear how conscientious folks can be about looking respectable in an A2(or CW uniform).;)

    Captain Kenneth Lockwood 1911-2007

It is important to keep and publicize these WW2 biographies. With the youngest vets now in their early 80's it won't be too long until they are all gone. Finding a vet who is wiling to share his/her experiences is always a privelege for me.

    Hawker Hurricane

Good job on the Hurricane. The other photos are also appreciated. I have built Hurricane models in every scale from 1/72 to 1/24. I have particular fondness for the understated workhorse of the Battle of Britain. All you modellers keep up the good work. And I find as my eyes get older. some...

Thanks so much for the Goodwearlether site. Quite impressive. I saw nothing about pricing, though. Might it be up there in the EAstman price range?

    Need A-2 patch sewing help

Out here in rural Pennsylvania many of the Mennonite saddle/shoe shops can handle any leather jacket sewing job. I had a zipper replaced on an old A2 and no one could tell it was replaced.

    A2 vs. G1

The A2/G1 combo is fine for just a leather jacket. At $40 it is a bargain.

Thanks, Blacklagoon, the detailed photos are great. Very nice acquisition. I hope you have cold enough days to use the pair.

    A2 vs. G1

Edward's fantasy really expresses what most collectors dream once they start seeing, and feeling(even sniffing) all the different flight jackets out there. If your budget allows it (and your conscience is clear) go for whatever your heart desires and enjoy. Life is too short to look back and...

Thanks again, Andrew for the detailed photos. They are worth more than words can say when it comes to learning as much about A-2s(as well as other jackets) as possible. Paul
