    I have 2 pairs of Wolverine work boots and while not fancy, they are tough as an anvil and wear very well. A couple of days to break them in and then they were totally comfortable.

    Horace, the Mini 14 is a big time favorite of mine. Those little rifles are built like tanks, I have seen them survive abuse on the catwalks and towers of a maximum security prison that would have destroyed most rifles. They are "minute of irritant" accurate and stick with the factory mags...

    Yup, the older mil-surp ammo is generally reliable [POF .303 being a notable exception]. Wish I saw more of it around here.

    just picked up a "Budget" 1911 from ATI, it's a Commander size and I will wind up with less than $300 in it. It's as well finished as a Colt 1991 I had some years ago.

    Put this together for myself, used a Hurst shifter knob with a fun branch. Tall enough for my 6'3" frame.
