Nice purchase, fits the intended use well. We have something similar, but the dang thing is full of china, go figure ;) I recommend hat rests, to keep the brims from flattening out on the shelves. Too bad the only kind available are those annoying plastic things, which are barely large enough... -

As others have, they're different, it's just that David Morgan has put a teardrop in their open crown Sydney that's depicted. I think it looks a little better than the factory-crease in the Stylemaster, which looked too narrow to me. -

It sounds like the fur has a slight satin finish to it (i.e. the fur is a little long). It's normal for a satin finish hat to have a circular swirl at the top, from normal brushing. Is it so shiny that it looks bad? I have a dark gray satin finish hat that is shiny, but that's why I bought it -... -

Nice looking lid - interesting it says 'Royalten Quality' on the lining but 'Royaltan' on the sweatband. Typo? Love that lining and the 'Controlled Brim' logo. -
