Hi Yeps.
I actually tried some Old Spice today. My wife liked it, but wasn't in love with it. I noticed that I can only put a couple of drops in my hand and that does well. Any more and it kind of over powers me, and her. However, she does say I smell "like a man's man" in it.
I'm a little...
I have a quick question for the group. Are there any classic men's colognes that are still around? Mostly something from 1928 till about 1950 is what I'm looking for. Also, perhaps, something newer but is "scented vintage." I'm looking for a new, to me, cologne (and aftershave too, if possible)...
My Humblest Apologies
My Humblest Apologies to anyone at the lounge who is irritated by my spelling and grammar. Seriously.
I went to Texas Public Schools from the 1970's to the 1980's and don't remember ever having a class on grammar.
I think the first class I had on grammar was in...
I concur
I concur with Miss Neecerie,
I use a fountain pen daily: at school, at work (when working) and on National Guard Drills. I think a HUGE, super ornate, fountain pen that is expensive or not, may be a little ostentatious if it doesn't go with your outfit/look.
As an example, you...
Thank you!
Thank you, a Gatsby 8 panel. If you could find out the seller that would be great! I so want one.
Oh, I looked at your link, but my German is horrible. Where were the photo's taken? It looks like a WW2 era fort.
awesome
Great photos. What kind of cap is the gentleman wearing in the middle of the three of you when you are looking at the mountains and the clouds? It seems to be some sort of flat cap, but it looks really, really, really, really, really, cool.
Ya, I could.
Ya, you are right. But, it was the first thing that popped up on my Google search. :o Still though, you can find tons of reports to support for both sides. You just can't have a one size fits all, every one is an individual. I would have done much better in a male only...
Amazing
That was amazing. Thank you so much for posting.
I agree with VC Burnswick about the quote he posted:
"This took my breath away! It was like I was one of the few who first witness the dawning of an era. The era of being pure, honest and wholesome. The women back in the '20s were...
Interesting
Very interesting article Lord Best.
I opened up the PDF as well, I'll have to skim it and give it a through reading in the near future.
The article seems to go with the link to the article I posted above, which discussed the physical differences between the male and female...
Wow, I've never "horrified" anyone before. Well, I did horrify my mom one time when I came home from a "punk" concert in High School.
:offtopic:
What is it about my post that horrified you? The anthropologist in me is intrigued. Are you sure you mean horrified? Have you never met anyone with...
Yes, that is correct.
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. But, I do believe my own observations over research that probably has an agenda. I also have other inputs, like my world view (from my religion, I'm not a literal-ist), experiences of others, and other research~note my link.
I concur
I too went through a "mens movement" phase, though not the Iron John type (good book though). I concur with your post above. I also think it depends a lot on the individual.
And, with respect to other posters and the "research" that is out there saying that boys and girls think...
research
There is reach that says boys and girls lean better separately, and research that says the opposite. Growing up, I would have learned much more in a boys only environment.
I think it should be the parents choice as to where to send their children, not the State's. Who knows the...
love it
I'm really wanting an Open Road in silverbelly. I also just love the cattlemans crease. I'm very much a city slicker... do you guys think that a city slicker could pull off such a cool hat? My grandfather was a farmer, trucker, and all around rancher. He wore his Open Road on special...
Hmmmm...Not so much the 17th or 18th Century but people living in mud huts, by choice. http://small-scale.net/yearofmud/
Now I'm sure some of these "Mud Hutters" or "Cob Housing People" or "Retro Homes Extremists" or "Environmentalists" live in a mud hut, then drive their Chevy Tahoe to their...
