Just a Henley a new flannel and the PW suede vest for me today while I'm out plinking with one of my vintage air pistols, it warmed up to 67°f by 10:30am this morning so the jacket got old pretty quick.
My grandfather died when I was 7 and the only memory I have of him wearing a jacket at all was some kind of basic mechanics jacket.
He was a tank driver during the war, owned a flying A gas station after the war, then was hired on as vehicle maintenance/ service technician for our county CHP...
They are definitely 70's but being a western style, they don't really come off as overly 70's either.
I can wear this and nobody is going to say " hey super fly " .
Thanks.
If Marc mndt hadn't posted his in response to my PW suede vest I wouldn't have it, so I have to give z big thanks to him and this forum.
I instantly fell in love with the jacket and began looking for one, I found one on Ebay right away and after a little convincing I threw in an offer...
Lots of nice looking leather truckers posted here, looking through this thread I've realized that the trucker is probably my ideal style of leather jackets.
X zips just don't do anything for me, and while I don't mind Cafe racers I'm always wishing mine had a collar.
I currently have my eye on...
I still like seeing yours even though I have my own that I'm currently wearing.
I felt like the condition of mine is decent, but definitely not in the same condition as yours.
It has a few scars that I wish weren't there, but I can definitely live with them.
Early-mid 70's pioneer wear suede which I'm wearing again today because it quickly became one of my favorite jackets that I wear every opportunity I get.
As long as the weather cooperates and I'm not at work.
The original suede care pamphlet that I found in the pocket when I received it is...
I have been very happy with the first 2 LW buck camp flannels I ordered and decided to order two more.
I thought their buck camp flannels were normally more expensive than I payed but apparently that wasn't a sale price, this time they do have a 25% discount code so the already reasonable price...
That's a decent idea of your using a single prong pin, otherwise you'll need two and not every pin would line up.
Btw I use these " locking " pin keepers, they're basically just a metal plug with a pin hole and a set screw in the side.
I order them from a seller on Ebay called Cactus mountain...
I always figure the pictures I post are about the jacket...ect and not about the person wearing it, so I leave myself out of it as much as I can.
Think of me as a human mannequin.
As long as it's not your name or something really unique to you that would make it undesirable to anybody else, then it should still be able to sell even if it has to be for less money.
I get what you're saying though, and I do understand that some people care about maintaining as much of a...
I get that most people wouldn't put pins in a leather jacket, aside from this one exception I wouldn't either.
For some reason it just felt appropriate this time, but I don't imagine myself ever wanting to do so with any other leather jacket or adding any other pins to this one.
Most likely the...
