@AEH: I tried the "happy jumper" employing my 7 year old daughter and my 4 year old son on my latest aquisition. Actually not so much for the jacket, but just for the laugh.
And what fun they had!
Thanks a lot, great post, great idea and it made the kids tired. What more can you ask?
my measurements are:
height 181cm = 71.5" = 5ft 11.5"
chest exhaled 108cm = 42.5"
chest inhaled 112cm = 44"
Don't know my waist and stomach, but I wear 32 or 34" Jeans (depending on the brand) and I don't have much of a belly.
I went with a size 42", which is perfect for me in the...
If I may take the liberty to answer: Cooperson is from Midlands, UK. Mark Moye represents Aero in the USA, not internationally.
Apart from that: great looking jacket, in a way I almost miss the breaking-in period :-) And a perfect fit on you too!
I am 5,11" as well, but couldn't go for a 40 by...
White's boots: Packers
I got myself a pair of White's 10" Packer boots through eBay, but new and from White's directly (seller name is "whitesriver"). The service was immaculate, shipping fast and fair priced.
So what about the boots?
Let me begin by saying that I own Sanders, Tricker's, two...
thanks felix03. yes, I wanted the storm flap. That problem with the stud went away within minutes since I asked for an extended collar with two studs and that bends away by itself. However the jacket does need some serious punishment now to become as soft as my HWYman already is.
Partly the pictures are a bit misleading, because of the posture I took to get the best of what little light I could get out of that built-in cam. Partly I agree in that that I have also seen some that have even longer sleeves, because they went for a less tight fit.
However, that's not what I...
@JanSolo: finally? it arrived just today :)
I am very pleased with it, sorry to give you the wrong impression. I would have liked a few more months of cold, instead of heat in which I won't be wearing it much. However, with this and the HWYman, I probably have more leather jackets than I will...
very nice variation on the Highwayman, but I'd loose the slanted breast pocket, or have a straight one instead. Somehow, those are too many angles for my eyes :(
My new Cafe Racer arrived. It's black, two breast pockets, size 42, plain back, silver hardware and double collar studs. The lining ist black stewart.
I am quite pleased with it, but decide for yourself:
I ordered my jacket on Febuary 5th and it arrived today, even tough I added a second order on 20th of Febuary later. Both arrived (as requested) in one shipment today. That's 11 weeks after the first and 8 counting from the second.
fair enough, I'd say.
I am afraid you will not be able to tell all of the difference in how the jacket feels, but here is a before/after shot of my Highway man.
When I got it:
Today after four months of continuous wear, some of it in adverse conditions:
It's a soft jacket now and if I would keep going at it...
I still find my Aero FQHH after four months of wear suprisingly soft in most places and very comfortable.
Apart from getting it wet in bad weather, I think what has been softening it too, is that it's kept in a very warm place in the house.
However, I start getting the feeling that many...
placed an order for two items with Aero which would be eight weeks this week. Amanda wrote she hopes it will be ready to ship next week.
I agree, I'd rather get the quality and wait a little while longer. It will be too warm to wear it anyway when it arrives.
Hope she doesn't copy this :-)
