Picked up this 70's Style Laredo Durafelt at local Goodwill for $10.oo. Wanted to convert it to an everyday Fedora. Own another Durafelt, very tough hats.A little soaking, cutting, stretched from 7 to 7 1/4 Wide oval, Hydrolac, steam, and drying. Then a little sanding and touch up...some stains...
I have quite a few narrow neckties from the 50's and 60's...and I wear most of them. Look better with my Clubmasters and Fedora than the ugly wide newer ones, although I have a few of those I wear. Probably too many shoes, not that there's anything wrong with that!:)

The last few funerals I attended or officiated were in cold weather. I and my pastor friend who always wears a hat...would wear it, but take it off when we approached the grave-site area.
Visit thrift and consignment stores regularly...you will get lucky once in a while. A few months ago I found a black 4X beaver which I converted to 2 1/2 brim with black ribbon. Last week I found a kitten finish with feather and "kitten" pin, 2 inch brimmed Resistol Fedora...both in my...
