Too be honest, 8.43 is in low range. High range is a much better 6.14:1.
I've even thought about adding a "brownie" to help get the rpm's down.

My buddy Brandon called tonight because his '48 dodge was having some issues. It was only running on a few cylinders and wouldn't idle. A compression test showed cylinders 3&4 at 0 psi, so tomorrow I'll be pulling the cylinder head. Pictures to follow.

I'm going to school now for CAD, CAM and manual machining. My current job pays just enough to cover bills and lets me play with my hours any way I want while I go to school. I am very fortunate compared to many others in my area...

Some guy dropped off a '78 T/A at work a few weeks ago. I grabbed as many goodies as I could before it went to the crusher. [huh]
Try finding a master cylinder and wheel cylinders for my '59 chevy 2.5 ton truck. Honing stones and the local heavy truck shop were my best friends. I dont know what I will do when the time comes that ill need wheel bearings or a brake drum. [huh]
