Help Yourself Why Don't You?

Taking your hat off in a public place where it's not necessary to so do and setting it down in front of someone where they can oogle it and drool over it is just an invitation for them to plop it on their infested nob. You're almost asking them to grab it just by setting it in front of them...

Need Lounger's advice on selling rare hat

This is what I was going to suggest. An item part of MM's personal collection , IMO, would be something a major auction house would be very anxious to handle. Ebay can be such a nickle and dime scenario depending on who's bidding. This hat could be offered to some very serious folks through...

Someone got that scarce GREEN WHIPPET

"I think that this is really interesting. I just acquired a 1940 Stetson Playboy Ad [which I will post soon] that states that the Playboy was available in 37 colors -- 37 colors!!! So -- where did they all go? I agree, Feraud, it seems as if it is very rare that one sees the more unique colors...

    My grandfather's hats

Both of those hats are stunning, gorgeous hats. Highly collectible in both cases. Whether to keep them or sell them , one or both, must be a hard choice. We all have different connections to our pasts. I know for my self, I would keep them. My Grandfather in his fedora has been and remains...

Hats with a black leather jacket

This pretty much sums up my philosophy. My fedora inspirations come from guys who only owned one maybe be 2 hats at a time. Whichever hat they were wearing that day went with whatever else they were wearing.... Dark Gray hats are great that way......

    Things that happen in shipping...

That's rough luck Tom but I'm glad the seller is making good. I had seen that wormser and box myself. The hat ..eh..but the box did look cool....... I know it's easy to shred DHL in this case but more important is the packaging. These types of items go ground shipping. If you don't use the...

    'SERPICO" FEDORAS'

Not to remain totally :offtopic: but this subject is close to my heart. Sadly for much of Americas future the homes they come from cannot be defined as any kind of home I would recognize I worked in juvie detention and did many 2am intakes of PINS and runners from cooperative and interested...

    'SERPICO" FEDORAS'

Management in Business is built on lies. The lies are told first at the top of the organization then as the lie slinky's down the toady chain it is continually repeated by each subsequent toady. It occurred to me today as I left the golden presence of my divine immediate manager that I had been...

    EBAY STRATOLINER WARNING!!

The online world can be a great place.....Homergreg points out well that what the USPS did was to adjust cost to the dimension of a piece . They want a bigger piece of the pie in regard to shipping of material from online auctions and such but geez who's going to want to ship at those rates...

    CHURCHILL HATS

I had a Churchill probably very similar to the pic thunderw21 ahs posted above.. I ultimately sold it . It was fine hat with soft thick felt but in the end it was too thick. I wear a hat most everywhere most all of the time and this one you just couldn't wear it in a store or places as such...
