Thanks guys for the replies! I've thought about it and I think I will continue wearing my Whippet but will add more vintage pieces so I rotate them. I do like the vintage over new. Like my watches, I prefer an original vintage piece over a homage or remake. -

Another option is to find a less than perfect Whippet as a daily hat and save the other for special occassions. -

I felt the same way till I saw the satain and the sweat band stiffening up. Especially only wearing it for two and a half weeks. I'm afraid by the end of winter the sweat band will be trashed. I'm into vintage watches and wear them all the time so I understand. But I can't get replacement... -

What is your favorite hat crease?
Thanks Redfokker! It's been like this for a while. The felt is not soft like the Whippet. I'm not sure how easy it will be to reshape it. I will try when I have time. -

I'm temped to pick one up in twany after my vintage Whipped got it's first sweat stain on the lining. The Whipped was mint till I wore it for two and a half weeks straight. The sweat band also feels like it's harder than before especially along the edge near the sweat stain lining. I'm afriad... -

What is your favorite hat crease?
Here's my JJ Hat Center lid. It originally had an open crown which they gave it a teardrop. I tried to make a diamond out if it but that was before I knew I needed steam. I will try again but with steam this time.
