I haven't had the chance to check out the Retro. The Casa Blanca is kind of stiff. I had to steam it a bit to be able to snap the brim down. It might be the one I got, bought it off Amazon. I like because it has a leather sweatband. My Biltmore Westend has a fabric sweatband. It never fit...
Yes, it's a modern hat. I wanted vintage but couldn't find any I liked. The Casa Blanca's brim isn't too wide, 2 3/8. I think the crown is only 4". I wish the brim was at least 2 1/2" and the crown 4 1/2".
Thanks viclip! I love the slow loud ticking from these fusee pocket watches. I would love to get my hands on a late 1700's version :D I'm trying to be very careful with the key. I need a thicker chain for it since my pocket watch chain doesn't have one for the key.
Carrying my 1831 English fusee pocket watch today. Carrying a pocket watch forces me to wear my seldom worn vest :D
The watch is made by Edward Watson of King St, Cheapside, London. He was a watchmaker from 1815 to 1863.

This is the look of how COLD it's outside! The tweed is keeping my head warm while my earmuffs are keeping my closet warm :( I forgot to take them:eek:
My Hanna 8 piece cap arrived last night!!!! I love it! Comparing it to my JJ's Newsboy cap this is one serious cap! It's bigger, the tweed is thicker, it's overall heavier, it has a larger herringbone pattern...what's not to love :D
JJ's on the left and Hanna on the right.
