It's a slightly tricky one, one which I've complicated by using "private purchase" in the wrong sense haha. Basically they were manufactured officially for the army (hence the broadarrow) and were available to officers through the army stores (etc) although the officers weren't physically...
Very nice boots indeed, I've a pair myself.
Not motorcyclist boots though. They are private purchase British Officers 'Field Boots', worn instead of ammo boots in the field. Extremely practical and generally very comfortable!
But surely there's a big difference between "being too well made" and "being wrong". I know that I'd rather have an item which was too well made than a jacket which was just wrong, certainly from a reenacting standpoint.
Incidentally, my B10 arrived very promptly, on Friday in fact. Ever so...

I've had an Aero B10, which I've since sold. It was a very nice jacket, well made and extremely comfortable but being the "stitch Nazi" that I am (ww2 living historian and one that is obsessed with accuracy) I sold it and have since ordered an Eastman B10, which is due on the 10th June...
I certainly wouldn't worry about it, the final touches/human touch/fiddling with it tends to be the action which truly brings out a pocket squares character ;)
