Nothing but Seamed Stockings
Does anybody know anywhere that sells higher denier (20+) seamed stockings? I really liked the What Katie Did retro seamed stockings - and they were such a bargain too. They're discontinued now unfortunately. The 15 denier replacements are far too thin for me. :(- Alice~

As Jane said, setting lotion is a bit of a must with longer hair. Also make sure your hair isn't too clean :) If after trying some of the tips found in other pin curling threads you still can't get it to work, try a different method such as sponge rollers or perm rods. Practise is the most... -

It sounds like a great length! Mine is just past my shoulders at the moment and I find it a bit too long. Of course, your hair type contributes towards what lengths are best, too. Mine is very thick and unwilling! Have you tried vintage styling before? What methods are you using? :) -

Vintage make up for eyeglass wearers
As others have said, I think brows become a lot more important when wearing glasses (especially when the glasses attract attention). I've been quite brow-lazy lately, and thus have stopped wearing my glasses when I probably should. Hopefully my friends don't mind me not recognising them until... -

high end vs low end products ?
I've been using Max Factor Masterpiece Max mascara since it was released, and I just love it. I can't compare it to any high-end mascaras though, as I've never considered buying one. ;) Bourjois do some fantastic products - their Healthy Mix foundation is comparable to some high end liquid... -

Whenever I curl my hair, the bottom layer at the back falls out really quickly, and looks quite silly as my hair is naturally extremely straight. Would it be okay if I cut that bottom layer shorter than the rest - so that it's shorter than where the bottom curls sit? I don't know much about... -

Sunglasses for women!
Dead Men's Spex have a lovely selection of vintage frames (and you can browse by era), but I often come across a lot of cheap, vintage-style modern sunglasses in T K/J Maxx. T K Maxx change their stock regularly (at least in the UK), so it's worth it to keep checking. :)- Alice~
