+1 for Headwind Mfg. I had ordered a custom Aviatrix with capeskin for my wife. Even with the tartan wool liner, it feels lighter than her denim jacket.
However, if you want a jacket for warmer days, you probably don't want a jacket with wool knits, as they trap the heat in.
First outings to the Saguenay region in the north with this vintage Bates. The 3 days we were there, temperature ranged between 10C and 20C daytime. With strong cold wind, wearing this jacket with a T has my ass freeze off in less than hal f an hour on the deck of a boat.
Shoulder and chest fit...
I had this Schott Storm before, was one of my favorite, gave it to my brother-in-law as a gift when it was just 4 months old.
Quite heavy, looks sturdy but soft and very comfortable, with a very nice slim fit cut for athletic body type.
No need to break in (the reason why I offered as his...
Leather looks good, and I really dig that color. I'm going to ask them if they have 3oz type of this leather. Or maybe unfinished veg tanned HH or steer too.
LOL, I was planning to go cut my shoulder length hair this weekend (no haircut since the first covid lockdown), maybe I need to keep the hair to match the style :)
Vintage Bates, just arrived from one of ours, @handymike (Thanks man, it was a smooth transaction).

That's a custom made jacket with veg tanned steer hide, made in Shanghai.
Yeah, the weather dropped from yesterday's 31C to today's below 20C. Ship your jackets here for 2 years, I'll break them in for you, free of charge, as compared to someone who offered the service for a fee ;)
Joe Beef...
I never had a Bates before, but looking at the sleeves and body length ratio, this seems to be designed as a longer jacket? Just wondering.
It would fit me exactly like this:
I'm 178cm talk.
Btw, thanks for posting measurements in metrics as well.
