Ack, Lauren, your site is amazing! I'm so enamored of all your things.
This is the last thing I made, and it was about a year ago, just before I left for Japan. I haven't really done anything since, but I'm not allowed to buy anything new until I finish the 8 projects I started...
Oh no, I'm hopeless! That first little "wrong" on the page I looked at and said "Oh, how cute!"
I can't wait for the text!

I got a bunch of samples of the moisturizer at the Henri Bendel event in July. They are pretty nice and smell good, but I wouldn't pay $45 for them. They were pretty much just normal lightweight moisturizers, and I already have hand and face creams that I like.

As soon as you're done wrapping everything you just cut it off the person stuck inside. (Though leaving it on and saying "It has to sit for awhile" would be possibly the cruelest prank in the entire world).

We stuffed it with polyester fiberfill. We got huge bags of it very cheaply at Dan & Whits (Weird place near my college. It carried everything from cattle feed to deer salt licks to PVC to .. yeah, everything.) It seems weirdly expensive now, though. $10 a bag? I don't know why it's that...

the VS catalogue showed up yesterday and had these on the back page. The cuffed ones are only like $40 and look pretty cute. I might try them out.
My fiance and I did mine awhile ago. He just has to be careful not to cut the bra off while cutting off the form. I find it works best if you go over the hips and below the rear end.
We stuck that one on a big length of PVC pipe to make a stand for it, but we never did find out how to get...
 You just said Wolf! I'm so envious. What model did you get? Did you order it new or were you lucky enough to find one used. (Oh wow. I just went all raving fangirl, didn't I?)
I'm really not kidding. I was thinking about dress forms when I went to bed and last night I dreamed that...
I don't like using adjustable dress forms. I just find them really unpleasant to drape with. I'm told you can get them cheaply, though. I don't know; I was looking at Joann's and I figured that I could get one for 200 including shipping (There is not a Joann's near me), but I think I could get a...
Ehrr ... I had to go look that up. I am informed that technically a "serger" is an overlock with 5 thread cones, but when most people (including me) say "serger" they're referring to some kind of overlock machine. I call mine a serger even though it only has 3 cones. (I am cheap and I sew...
I made them out of silk charmeuse because that's what the designer told me to make them out of. They were nice and filmy. (Charmeuse is beautiful, but it can be a real pain to sew.)
I used a serger and a sewing machine. Charmeuse frays easily and I didn't want to ddeal with it, so I just...
I love afternoon tea! My fiance does too. Hmm, maybe I'll get him to go for one this weekend. (Oh, or not. He's eschewing simple carbs and sugars right now. I don't think you can eat anything at afternoon tea without consuming white flour or sugar! :eusa_doh: )
I love tiny scones and tiny...
Heh! I love those! I made mine with scraps of cotton left over from a sewing project. (My fiance once opened the cabinet and all 150 of them fell on him. I ... really only needed like maybe 20, but I didn't know that when I started making them.) But I know a girl who made them out of a hot pink...
Really? I'm sorry! They worked very well for me, but my hair takes a curl very easily. It's not particularly thick or fine or curly or straight, and since it is so in-between it takes tools pretty well.
I think the remington rags are the same curlers LolitaHaze posted pictures of when she...
I have a triple-barrel curling iron that I love. It creates a really interesting, hyper-shiny look on me. It's also great for if I'm in a *super* hurry. I can twist up the back of my hair, which is pretty thick and wavy on its own, and then I just use it to press the layered portions in front of...
Excellent! Thank you very much for the excellent capsule review. Into my Amazon cart it goes! I will leave the previous edition at my parents' house, and this will be my new house's edition.

Now that I look around Amazon for more Miss Manners books (and a video tape! Yay!) I see that the core book has a new edition out. Has anyone read this who can tell me how it compares to the previous edition? If it has new information I must acquire it!

Excellent! I thought I was the only one! ^_^ My favorite is Miss Manners' guide to excruciatingly correct behavior. I love her column too.
After reading Miss Manners and Emily Post, I went out and got Tiffany's Table Manners for Teens because I was told that was the best resource for teens...
