I've had the opposite problem in the UK. I have a pair from the fifties and no optician I've spoken to will touch them because they're worried in case they break them. I'm sure if I forced my money upon them and insisted, they'd do it mind you lol- Folly

Nothing but Seamed Stockings
Straight Seams I'm sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere but I was reading a book yesterday and they gave a tip to keep seams straight. Apply a thin layer of vaseline to the back of the leg, exactly where you wish the seam to lay and it should stay put. I haven't tried it...- Folly
