    Post New Hats Here!

Stetson Nostalgia...PORK PIE! Just got a Nostalgia in 7 3/4 from the Garland outlet today. I couldn't resist, I have been craving a good high-crowned non-stingy pork pie like Art or Optimo might make, but at an outlet price. The pork pie bash was just calling to me.

    Stetson "Nostalgia"? (now with pics)

My Nostalgia was also waiting for me when I got home this evening. OK, you guys are probably going to consider this a wasted opportunity, but I have really had a jones for a pork pie lately, and one that isn't low-crowned and narrow-brimmed. So I bashed a pork pie. I think it looks pretty...

Sounds like it was meant to be! Did they say they'd clean it up for you or is it just as-is? They didn't say anything about mine being dirty so hopefully I'll get a clean one. :)

    Stetson "Nostalgia"? (now with pics)

Yeah, Sterling Leather seemed to have the best price online, $148 if I remember correctly. The Outlet had it at $99.95. You have to call the Outlet to see if they have what you want, and then place an order by phone. It would be nice if they had a website you could order from, but I kind of...

    A Pinch in the Rear

I hear what you're sayin'. I like it, but I went back to a standard teardrop/C-crown because the rear pinch combined with the teardrop shape was causing the sides to bow out too much. I still like kaos' Saratoga bash, and I might attempt it myself one of these days, but I consider my...

My double-pinch diamond bash is no more. It was a nice experiment, and I liked it, but the shape of the bash was causing the sides to blow out too much, so it looked too wide when viewed from the front. I smoothed it out and made a less rounded C-crown/teardrop and a narrower front pinch...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Campdrafts have a wind cord...that is, if you don't cut them off. ;)

My re-creation of a late 20's or early 30's fedora using a 1950's beater fedora

And when I said it looks OK to me, I meant just aesthetically in general. For a re-creation of a 20's or 30's hat, the crown would be higher. I'm not sure I would like it better that way, though. I think it looks great like it is.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I love the cattleman's crease when viewed from the side or at a 3/4 angle, but from a straight-on front view...not so much.

The brim was originally only 2 1/2 inches? It must be the angle of the photo, but it looked wider to me, like 2 5/8" or 2 3/4". What did you cut it down to?

Looks OK to me. If the brim was the original width I'd agree wholeheartedly.
