It's seems jacket weather is pretty much gone for me.
I can wear my work jacket, or wear a jacket for a bit on my days off when taking the pup for her morning walk but that's about it.
I've had this little belt buckle of my grandfather's for a long time, and I've never worn a belt this narrow so it's just sat in a drawer.
I think it makes a perfect decoration for this hat band.
I ditched the temporary band I threw on it and made something better.
I'll probably still do a bit more customization to it, but I'm just not sure yet.
Even if it's just going to be a beater I still gotta make it my own.
Well I received the hat today and am definitely a bit disappointed.
I could not tell from the pictures that the band & strap were mildewed, and the hat seems to be kind of moth bitten all over.
They're not holes going all the way through though, so I decided that I'll still keep and wear it...

Well since the diamond Gusset work jacket I ordered was a bust I went looking online for something else and came up empty.
Anyways long story short if it ain't broke don't fix it so I went on Ebay and found an unissued USN utility jacket to replace my old one .
Well the diamond Gusset work jacket I ordered from All American clothing arrived today, and it's way too big.
I didn't pay that much aattention to the size chart, but they list the chest size for a small as 46.
I measured it and not counting the storm flap like they do, it's a 44.

I'm definitely not going to open up the lining, so I'll just have to try and accomplish something functional with a curved needle.
Currently I'm contemplating ironing the patch on ( these particular patches don't hold very strong) and just added a stitch on each end to lock it on.
