Aero Sheene- Fit Advice and Creative Guidance

He's a great dog. I've also been taking care of my parents two dogs for the last three months while they are in India--so much work but all the walking means lots of time in leather jackets so I cant complain too much. Plus all that fetch does wonders for the elbow creases...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Inaugural dog walk with my new hooch hauler. Picked it up from the Aero sales page this August but haven't been able to wear if because of the heat.

Aero Cafe Racer Without Bi-Swing Back (Shoulder Gussets) -- Good Idea?

It really comes down to a balancing act between mobility and closeness. This Sheene hits me square on each shoulder, its a very close fit--can't comfortably fit anything other than a long sleeved t-shirt under it. It definitely flares at the shoulder, partially because it's stretched a bit but...

Aero Cafe Racer Without Bi-Swing Back (Shoulder Gussets) -- Good Idea?

I had the same question when I was working through the details on my Sheene. I got a cafe racer fit jacket from TB and it had shoulder gussets, which I found gathered a lot of material in an unappealing way. I went without the gussets and am glad I did. Here are some pics of each, both the brown...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Roughly one year in this Sheene. This was my first leather jacket, now part of a larger stable thanks to this forum. Really love this simple jacket, and can't wait to keep beating it around. I posted a few more evo photos in the original thread I made for this jacket.

Aero Sheene- Fit Advice and Creative Guidance

Wanted to show a few examples of how this jacket's evo. Nice grain in the arm: Brown base showing at the cuff: Bunch of sleeve crease wear: Thanks for looking, really stoked that jacket weather finally hit Austin, makes taking the dog a lot more enjoyable.

Aero Sheene- Fit Advice and Creative Guidance

Just wanted to post some updates at the roughly one year mark. The first few pics show how well the jacket is draping, I'm very happy with how the hide has broken in. A decent amount of the base coat is starting to show through the black. This jacket has started graining up really nicely...

Denim Jackets - New or Vintage

With that specific difference i woudn't be surprised if the underarm piece slipped in from a stack of cut pieces from a higher grading. When I ordered the last large 526PJ from Rivet and Hide a year or so ago they told me the it was actually a little larger than the general allowance, but it...

Denim Jackets - New or Vintage

Personally would not be happy with that kind of error, especially not at IH prices. I have a fair amount of IH pieces and they are wonderful, but the prices are only justified by their longevity and precision. Is the difference only in where the sleeve seam meets the yoke, or is the yoke itself...

Wesco black tie domain vs teacore

I agree, things marketed as teacore seem to involve a rather gimmicky rapid evolution which is pretty much at odds with the original effect that's being emulated. The black overdye was historically made as colorfast as possible and it was just extreme/prolonged amounts of wear that had the...

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

I'd love to do this with the Hooch Hauler I picked up in august but its so hot in Texas still that its just not feasible. Maybe I'll try it later in the year. Maybe I'll try this challenge with a pair of boots or two in the meantime.

Wesco black tie domain vs teacore

The brown tie is a great leather, feels pretty waxy. The redwing klondike is a total mystery, the leather is dyed a strangely bright orange/brown and painted with a very colorfast matte topcoat. Very hard wearing leather though. I have the steel-toed version that I wear for work and the tea core...

    Cordovan Sheene

Stellar pick up! The Sheene is such a great pattern, so easy to wear. I recently got a hooch hauler in cordovan horsehide and it looks pretty similar to this. Fantastic color with a lot of depth and variation, very hard to photograph.

Wesco black tie domain vs teacore

I've got the Wesco 7400 in black domain, brown domain, and british tan domain. I don't know what the "domain" is intended to convey but the leathers are all very different in terms of flexibility and character. Black tie is the most supple, and british tan is quite stiff. I'm pretty sure...

    Aero Barnstormer in Seal Vicenza

Looks awesome! The Barnstormer is one of my favorite patterns but can't justify getting one here in Texas. The tartan looks wonderful as well. All around excellence.

Aero online sale. What time Chicago time?

I was eyeing the cordovan cxlhh hooch hauler in the sale section, but I realized that it was so nice there was no way it would make it to the online sale so I bought it last week. Can't wait, I've wanted to get something in cordovan for a while now.

Four Pair Red Wings, 3sixteen Jacket, and Epaulet Kuroki Denim Vest

Continuing with the outerwear: 3sixteen Shadow Selvedge Ranch Jacket--Size XL PTP: 22" Length: 28" Sleeve: 24.5" Shoulder: 19" Worn 5-7x, very fast fader as you can see the driving elbow has some evo already, and the elbow combs are just peeking out. Really great jacket, just a little too tight...
