    1930s Cavalry- Mechanized and Horse

A couple a years back here is a place I went to for items. These guys are good. Although they specialize in Great War, many items are pre and post WWI. Some nice cavalry items show up from now and then. I'm also trying to remember one other place also. http://www.greatwar.com/scripts/default.asp

    1930s Cavalry- Mechanized and Horse

By the way, you might have heard this tidbit before, we never called it a Good Conduct Ribbon, even though that was it's was officially called (and still is) but it didn't really designate Good Conduct but rather the recipient was never.....caught!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

    1930s Cavalry- Mechanized and Horse

Thanks, just wondering about the Good Conduct Medal/Ribbon. Since it wasn't constituted and authorized for wear until June 41 and it's for three years good conduct service, a ribbon of inter war service would fit the time period a bit better....IMO.. There are many. I remember finding many...

You're not alone...I wish I had spent more time with mine. When any dad can leave a warm and lost feeling after they pass, it means they were who they were suppose to be to a son...a 'Dad'.

BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO) - Everything you wanted to bootleg about the Show!

I believe they were Federal Agents about to arrest him. Noticed that after it was decided that a two man hit was to happen, so said Luciano, there were two men in most scenes that made the viewer think Knucky was about to get bumped off also besides Dr Val. two followed him into his old joint to...

    Help me ID this?

One other item I notice is his cap. Stating in 1965 those hats without natural saddles were being issued. The new one resembled Marine caps, very flat with no saddle. When they started issuing those, the older ones became in big demand because no matter what one could do, a saddle could not be...

    Help me ID this?

No worry. The army had also Class B's and C's. Class B's were heavy cotton khaki and C's were duty fatigues. I have reason to believe that the photo was taken during the winter months because khaki's were worn during the warm months. When one could afford them, both winter green wools that...

    Golden Age Baseball broadcasts...............

I'd love to find a radio station that replays the old time baseball games. Maybe a suggestion to Sirius/XM could happen. How do you think it would go over? They have special channels that run for a short times of various artist on their own. Why not Golden Age baseball???????

    Help me ID this?

Although his unit patch is hard to read, the vehicle he's standing in front is a 3/4 ton with the bumper marking 3rd Armored Div, Hdqs assigned. He has no rank or ribbons. Looks like it could be taken in the early 60s. Class As was not the dress uniform. Dress uniforms were Blues, Whites or Mess...
