What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

I taught my kids tpThe Lumberjack Song (at least part of it) when they were young while we were riding the flume at Camp Snoopy. Grand (but hatless) times! Thanks for bringing back the memory! Onto a couple of drams of Cedar Ridge bourbon. Fantastic Iowa libation and a part of my routine...

What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

I need to start using the tissue. Definitely a KISS principle. My homemade pillows are a bit too stuffed and end up leading to wrinkles brim as you mentioned. The tissue should be more customizable to the specific cap. In talking to Keith about straightening out the wrinkles he suggested an...

What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

just realized I never responded Eric. Barry said “...these wools are some of my favorites to work with. They are soft in comparison to say Harris tweeds, and the weight is heavy enough to hold a great shape.” I agree with him. Feels pretty thin but holds relatively well. Cheers! ps. I...

What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

Keith mentioned the fabric is 'built like a tank' and he was dead on as it's a substantial fabric that should hold its shape very well. According to an old FB writeup on it, he said: The Archer, a 1910s-pattern Norfolk-pleated banded flat cap, made in this wonderful and scarce 1940s French cote...

    Playboys on Parade!

Short trip today but the Playboy is a fantastic partner. Looks fantastic in casual attire and equally good dressed up. The brown hue really swings with the light source becoming more light earthy in the sunlight. The exquisitely sized ribbon takes on a caramel hue in bright sun.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Shelta Seahawk today. Great fishing/hiking/hot weather golf hat. Unlike most boonies it has a fixed front brim. Dries quickly and floats. While I prefer a vintage fedora, these are a perfect fit for certain occasions. Camp hair, don't care....
