I thought from my understanding if a coat has already been cut, it could not be changed anymore.
For example if it is already cut to a three button as the finished product, it cannot change into three rolls two. I might be wrong thought.
From my understanding, for today' suit it is recommended to dry clean it every season. However I think vintage suit can be longer since the fabric is much heavier.
Perhaps once or twice a year provided the suit is for normal activities only.

To my knowledge there is another tailor in Sydney named Sam Disano that has a very good reputation. He tailored suits for Paul Keating.
