    Hi Guy's, lets talk zipper preference. The old Talon zipper on my Vanson Comet leather jacket is having some issues. I was thinking of replacing it but wanted to lounger advice, Riri, Talon, YKK, others? And what size would you use #6, #8 or stick with the Vanson #10 Giant size?

    Received the jacket today. OMG it's perfect, Alan tailored the fit and the look I wanted to a T, it's a night and day difference from the original jacket I started with. What do you guys think? I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow.

    Thanks I forgot all about that PDF Vanson has on their website. I used to have a hard copy of one of there catalogs from the mid 90's thats long gone, but I still have the leather samples they sent me with every color leather they use.

    I compared it to my Vanson Comet and Manx it's the same thickness. I don't believe this is the medium weight leather they use in the Arrow.

    That would explain it, I haven't compared it to my other Vanson's yet directly. I have an Ike from about 15 years ago that was softer than my Comet but still the same thickness. I wonder if like Aero's FQHH some hides are softer than others.
