I got another Toshi strap from Rich (chocolate leather with olive drab stitching), it arrived this morning, I think it goes well with my oil pull Aero A-2:
Jan/Windward, thanks for the compliments on the jacket and the rest of my attire, the jeans are Levi vintage 1967 505s, the boots are Red Wings. I am still trying to make up my mind whether to wear the collar snapped down or unsnapped, think it depends on whether I am wearing a shirt with a...
A couple of people have asked me to put up some fit pics so here are a few, they aren't particularly good photos as they were done on a self timer but I think they are good enough to give a decent idea of the fit:
The opposite happened to me, just as it warms up in London to a temperature which is too warm for wearing my Aero Highwayman with tweed lining my new jacket is delivered, an Aero A-2 which should be just right for the next few months.
I don't know, I assume it's the new oil pull as it is a new jacket though I suppose Aero may have stock of the old stuff. Do you know if there is an easy way to tell?
This morning I received a new Aero jacket, this one is an A-2 42-15142-P in oil pull with dark berry knits. I don't want to irk the A-2 purists, I wasn't after an accurate reproduction of an original, I just wanted something well made, good looking and a classic style which is exactly what I...

Thanks for the compliment, I agree with you about Rich/Toshi's straps, and he's a good man to deal with, I only have one of his straps but am tempted to get another. The box stitching on the strap you have on your Fortis suits it, goes well with the pilot style of the watch.
I am also a fan of...
The A-2 is a 44, I already have a size 42 chest highwayman which fits well (the sleeve of which can be seen in my first picture, better pictures of it are on another thread here somewhere). I have asked for the replacement to be two inches longer at the front and an inch longer at the back...
I did give Amanda my measurements, in fact I already have a Highwayman from them which fits well and is a size 42, Amanda recommended that for an A-2 I should go for a 44 (which I did) but unfortunately it is too short, however the fit at shoulders, waist and sleeves is just right.
When I...
It arrived last week :)
It's gone back though :(
A lovely jacket but it was too short for me, however Aero's customer care has been second to none again, they are making me up another one a which will be a bit longer and according to Amanda it should be with me in two to three weeks.
Here's a...
