I sport this look on any given day . . . I've got a simple black vest on under my coat as well as weary jeans and black oxfords. On a day like today, fingerless knit gloves and a scarf are required.

Photos . . . FINALLY!
I have two of these in the same (Olivewood) color.

Here's...
The toupee subject is a bit of an obsession of mine. Your average person would be stunned to learn just how many stars (both then and now) wear rugs.
Personally, I thing the stigma associated with this male fashion accessory (that's what I think it should really be considered) is unfair . . ...
I've been wearing this "Generic Newsie" for the last few weeks:

I picked up a pair of these at a local Nordstrom Rack for half price:

They're quite nice and have a very classic look when laced up snuggly.
I've got an vintage Pendleton coat like this that I've been wearing for the past couple weeks but the color scheme in browns and black. I get more complements on it than I can count.
And here's a nice one currently on eBay:

I also picked up one of these at the end of the season last year:

I have one like this in a green cable that I love:

I've been looking for a good repro of this jacket as well but the only ones I've been able to find have been made in China. A complete deal-breaker for me.
I really wanted to like this show but, after watching the entire first season, it's left me cold. The whole premise is contrived and boring with broadly drawn (stereotypical) characters that lack any subtlety.
Deadwood and Carnivàle were far more superior shows.
Hat styles, like any other article of fashion, come and go . . . but the classics never die.
I find it highly unlikely that these modern toppers will have much longevity from a historical standpoint.
More info on this hat:
This image comes from a 1972 Spring/Summer Bee Hat Co. wholesale catalog I have.
I'll be posting photos of my actual hats in the next few days.
