I have the black fedora in my avatar which is a daily wear hat. Black looks good, I think. Contrasts well with my skin tone, and goes with just about everything!
Again, hello everyone. I'm Chris from the Chicago burbs. Have worn fedoras most of my life, and am glad to have found this forum. I found it, by the way, when I picked up Classic Style mag. Love that mag!
I write all day with a fountain pen, 5-6 days a week and my only leak was when I forgot to empty it before flying. Sounds like physical damage, or a bad cartridge? Your post will make me think twice as I place it in my shirt from now on....
Has anyone experienced a malfunction you KNOW was...
I concur with the other comments re: colors and size of knot. But, remember we're talking about the 3% you are still working on... the 97% looks great. I can see the obvious care and attention you put into your appearance. Bravo!:eusa_clap
I like it... cool look. Me, I cut mine everyday - in the shower!
I have a full head of hair, but have worn mine like this for a couple years... no hat hair to worry about! lol
Here's a high-angle view of my office...
The desk is solid granite with a custom made "V" base. I have a leather sofa and loveseat, with a vintage coffee table where my creative team and staff meet. I'll take some better pics tomorrow.
The new issue looks great! I bought up the remaining copies (four) of the first issue at the Plainfield IL B&N and handed them out to some friends... they all loved it.:eusa_clap
Merkur heavy double edged safety razor, badger hair brush, and Taylor of Old Bond Street cream (Lavender or Sandalwood). I am using the Israeli blades from ebay and have had great success with them. I use this on both my face and my scalp each day.
Good places to look for spectators?
As a relative newbe on this site, I have searched for spectators... and am not having much luck. Where are all of you finding such great shoes???
Thanks in advance!
Gold wedding band, eco-drive wristwatch (never leave home without it), cufflinks, and a chain bearing a medallion with my personal motto - Fear Not. (It is also tattooed on my right shoulder).
I also wear a subdued platinum bracelet made of fishing swivels... (Mark 1:17)
How about this one...
This lady is telling me why she doesn't like clergy (not knowing I'm a pastor).
"They either dress really sloppy, in jeans and stuff - so you know they're fake, or they dress nice like you (I was in a bespoke jacket and trousers) and they're on the take..."
I...
I knew you were a friendly group of folk... but 17 replies! What a great online community. The suit isn't really a suit - it is a Fiorvanti sportcoat that I found on ebay for a GREAT price... just had to have it. Here is the pic from ebay:
The hat is one of the great Burlington Coat...
Thanks to all of you fine gentlemen and ladies who have made my lurking :eusa_doh: here over the last weeks so enjoyable. My name is Chris and I have been wearing hats most of my 33 years. In the SW burbs of Chicago, it is only recently that I have started to see hats (fedaors in particular)...
