Thank you everyone for the info and tips. Super helpful and exactly why I love this group so much. Nothing but help no condescension or trash. One last question does anyone know where the weight is listed? Trying to figure out total cost now.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

Because if Im figuring this correctly its just under 200 bucks which seems great and Im on it, but if theres a ton of taxes/import and/or shipping thats going to sneak up and jack the price up Im nervous haha. Total noob when it comes to the Japanese/Asian sales pages. Sorry if being annoying.

Aero worth the wait? Horsehide shootout; Aero vs. Schott

Mostly yes. As far as I know same tannery and same tanning/finishing process...the 613SH is just a heavier cut. I actually owned both and it definitely was thicker. Like I said nothing like a vanson or lw...but thicker/heavier than their standard. But that was the only differnce, how it looked...

FS: Schott x 3Sixteen Roughout Cowhide Perfecto Jacket XL

Wanted this one since it was announced. Such a cool and unique jacket. Not my size though, so the hunt continues. Just popping in to say GLWS and I hope someone jumps on this and gets one badass jacket.

Footwear to go with our jackets

One pair of Parkhursts in the Allen model in the Horween Natural Dublin. I own two pairs. One in size 9 that are a bit big and one in 8.5 that fit perfect. Just listed these the size 9s in the classifieds. Posting here since I mentioned them a few posts back. Dublin is a veg-tan that focuses on...

Parkhurst Allen Natural Dublin Sz. 9

Hey folks I’m selling my worn once for 10 mins Parkhurst Allen in Horween Natural Dublin US size 9. 5oz Dublin on Dainite Soles. Bought this about a year ago maybe even a bit longer, tried them on when I was wearing very thick socks and said these fit great. Haven’t worn them since. Tried on...

    Cal w/Collar

So here’s where I’m at now. I’ll do 400 and if you live outside the US and are worried about shipping I will split shipping costs with you! Also opening this up to trades. I’m normally around a 36 in most makers and primarily into classic cross-zip and perfecto style designs. Also I just sold...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Yeah I’ve worried about the value. But thankfully I’ve never had anything lost on its way to me or anything I’ve ever sent. And at this point that’s a lot. And if I put lower value I do it to a semi reasonable amount. It’s not like I’m going to sell a 1,000 dollar jacket and put like 10 bucks ha.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Let me say I’ve never done this just on my own. Only if the buyer and I talk. So they know the risks as well. That’s also why I use an old or blemished box. In the hopes they see used boots and a crappy looking box and assume yeah that looks right. But yeah to be clear I’ve never just done that...

Footwear to go with our jackets

Sounds like we would be the same. On a brannock I’m a true 8.5 and that’s what I take in Parkhurst. The two I sold were 9s. I’m a 7.5 in any red wings I’ve ever tried. Dont know Truman haven’t owned any. They are on my list to try. I’m torn between getting the Java waxed flesh from them. Or...

Footwear to go with our jackets

Yup.you pick from the base models he has, the hardware he uses, the soles he offers. And he has a wider selection of leathers than what his stock models are. And yeah will use leather you provide if you get high quality stuff and enough of it. I’ve had 3 pairs of his stuff. Sold 2 of them. Not...

Footwear to go with our jackets

I’d also recommend checking out Parkhurst guys. https://www.parkhurstbrand.com/ American made a short drive from My house. One owner who does all the design work. Has a small team of 8 in a shop that has living wages, benefits. Uses all the same good stuff like horween, Maryam, CF Stead etc...

Photos of cool jackets owned by others (non-brand specific)

This is a pretty cool idea. And it doesn’t look like color, or depth of color takes a hit at all.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

On a personal sales note what I’ve started doing if people outside the US (where I am based) are interested in something I’m selling I will split shipping costs. With Brexit and America’s Trade Wars (which this is not the place for the politics of any of that) shipping and taxes have become...

    Fine Creek Leathers - Eric

If you want to try a heavier thicker leather, there’s Lost Worlds right off the bat. Secondarily theirs Vanson get it made in their Competition Weight. If you’re going custom you can message Aero and ask them to use their thickest leather. Langlitz and Cal have some heavy options but you’ll have...

Footwear to go with our jackets

They have one pair listed right now in Latigo. Which a Veg. Retan. That might be interesting. https://www.rufflander.co.uk/shop/heritage-footwear/town-and-country-boots/78ptc-mens-traditional-leather-derby-boot/

Footwear to go with our jackets

Just poking around a little I saw one or two boots with Horween leathers. Does it cost extra for CXL, or is a leather they normally stock? Sorry again if you addressed this all, I’m behind on this thread haha. Those look tough enough for a war though. Look like tanks.
