VERY NICE LID sir. I am glad you posted, I have been away for a while but it is good to be back. The hat looks great, I like the color and the textture, modest adn classy at the same time, Great pick!
Excellent pix guys, I am still following intermittently, I am finishing college right now but by the time the hat gets to IL I am ready to go.

Jake

College folk leaning toward fedora's in Illnois
lol :) First I would like to say that in the past week, in my miniscule town of 5100 residents, I have seen 4 young men in thier early twenties wearing fedoras. I was impressed. I wish I could say I started the trend, but I believe the Johnny...
Info to Zemke
Hello gents
I just PM'd my info to Zemke Fan. Seems to be looking good for the hat trip. My wife even decided to travel with me and the hat to the next destination. She thinks it's a "cool" idea. I replied " Nothin' but cool on the lounge"
Regrards and Safe holidays to all.
Glad to be back in the lounge, (college becomes a time consuming mistress at times)
I am a newbie to the jacket forum, I have spent most of my time focusing on my hat addiction, but to get to the point: My wife recently purchased 2 overcoats for me on ebay to accompany my new attire needed...

Hat trip
Greetings all
I am still checking in with the new posts. I am suspecting it will be a while before reaching Illinois. How many states in the south are looking to participate?

I am learning a lot from this thread. Is there a guide or maybe book to use as a resource for dating vintage lids by manufacture, style, crown and brim height? I thought is such a guide was available it would help newbies like myself avoid pitfalls in purchase vintage fedoras.
I feel like I am...

Recieved my first Akubra
I am impressed, my first fur felt and it's an Akubra, " Cattleman", needed a little steam to shape but excellent condition. I just wish I knew the correct way to pronounce, "Akubra" ;lol; anyway I have 4 more lids coming here and I will let you know how they look.
Got your PM Kim Steiner
I sent you a reply, If there is a computer glich, i thought I would let you know here that I can make the trip to Alton easily let me know.

Oh boy, already in the dumpster? I think the name of the thread should be .." You won't believe the dedication I have to save a hat's prestige" by Dumpster Diver. :eusa_clap If you pull that off by rescuing the original trolley you would be a "HEROOOOO" in my book. Good Luck my friend my...
