Wow
I'm in line for a first VS - probably still a few weeks out from the phone call. That's probably a good thing. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. I've been through almost every page in this thread and now I'm full of conflicting thoughts. Pecan, Whiskey, Granite, Oxblood, Black...
You can count me in on a Heritage Campdraft. I would love it in Regency Fawn (grayish, brownish olive) - I have an Angler in this color but it's such a casual outdoors hat with vent holes and a chinstrap that I don't wear it except when working in the yard.
Moonstone works for me, too, though.
Anyone have a pic of an Optimo in the Canyon Grey color? I'm just wondering what it looks like in person. Looks to be neutral with hints of brown and even purple on their site.
Thanks!
I've had it since the spring but it didn't get too much use in the summer months. A bunch of sweat, rain storms and the pinch - otherwise the wear is just it slowly conforming to my head. It's a size 62 and still a little big at the temples even with felt inserts. I've come to the...
Nice hat in that Lightning Ridge. The shade pics of it do look like sun pics of the heritage fawn color.
Here's an indoor pic of me in my heritage fawn Banjo Paterson. Not the greatest color representation - the image feels a little desaturated overall. The pic does a good job representing...
I have the single tin pants - I sized up from regular waist and they still fit a little snug. I wear them with long underwear or basketball shorts if it's warm. Didn't get the band on the hem - it's holding up fine for now - wish I had that bit of advice before buying.
I wear them when I know...
I wear an Akubra Angler for most outdoor pursuits, including fly fishing.
Great hat, vents well. I attached a chin strap - absolutely necessary for me.
I've tried on a lot of different Goorin hats and none of them fit my head. The XL is just a bit too snug and usually too small in overall stature.
I wear a 7 5/8 New Era 59/50 Cap.
A 62 or slightly stretched 61 Akubra.
It's too bad, because I like a lot of their hats.
