Hats In The Car/A Newbie Question

This is interesting. Can this be part of the reason to why the popularity of the hat has lessened more and more over the last 60 or so years? It fits with cars getting more and more compact over the same period (at least here in Europe). [huh] /F

Hats In The Car/A Newbie Question

Wearing a hat in a modern car? (I bet this has been discussed before but I stuck out in my searches) Since I've managed to live without a car for many years I only discovered this problem in the fall of 2007 when my family gave me an old VW Passat for my 40'th birthday: How the heck are you...

    Old family movies

Animator: Love to see some of your images when you get hold of them! This topic reminded me that my family had a paper bag filled with old 8mm (not super 8) film taken before I was born. I wonder what happened with that bag? (Sherlock-mode: ON) /F

Brims - How do you like them

Joining the chant: I also like them both ways - Bound and raw. The raw ones often give the hat a more rugged feeling while the bound (and welted ones) feel more "dressy" IMHO. /F

    Christmas Hat Gallery

Hmm... I don't remember exactly but I know it wasn't much.. say 150SEK(that's about $24). Now I REALLY feel bad for not bidding on it. It would have made a nice coversation piece if nothing else. :) The one I saw didn't have the sissors-grip but wooden knobs instead. /F

Was there a PM about NOT using the name "eBay" here on the Lounge that I never got? :) More to the point: Who came up with OFAS and why? [huh] /F

Trip to Egypt in April 2008 - Felt or straw?

Thanks RBH, I'm not a OFAS-shopper but I've been in contact with Robert (Panamabob) about getting myself a Optimo-style beater for traveling purposes. Let's see what comes of that. :) I have decided to take one Panama and one felt hat on my trip to Egypt. The heat be damned! (Looking cool...

Trip to Egypt in April 2008 - Felt or straw?

Tilley Fedora Sorry for kicking this topic up again but I did some thinking over the holidays and came up with a question regarding Tilley hats - I'm sure they are practical in every sense but i just don't like the look of the crown shape on the traditional Tilley's... The only one I could...
