A word to men who wear high boots

Not really. It´s used mostly as short form of Alexander and it´s not used officially in this short form. (as far as I know)

Am I Too Tall For the Indy Hat?

I´m 6"5' and yes, tall crowns and wide brims work well for me. (however, vast majority of my hats has narrow brims) The only problem I see (with or without any hat) is that I can hardly fit into any doors. And public tranport is harder to use, too - I almost have to crawl on all four to get...

    Buttons on the other side?

I think there is. It´s just like with the buttons - men´s clothes has button holes on the left side. And the zippers on men´s clothes are accessed from the right side (e.g. they are covered from left) BellyTank I didn´t mean the thing about walking literally. I can walk three swedish miles...

    Buttons on the other side?

To continue this offtopic... I can use feet and nautical miles and knots correctly only in aviation, which is, thank God, the only major international use of these imperial units. (with naval use, of course...). Metric system in aviation is used only in Russia, China, Mongolia and some more...

    Buttons on the other side?

I knew it was a joke :) That´s one of the reasons I could never live in the USA, I can show you a meter with my hands, but not a foot. I can walk a kilometer, but not a mile :)

    Buttons on the other side?

I haven´t noticed that! I think the problem is solved. Madcap72 What do you mean, metric?

    Buttons on the other side?

There was a link to "mensitaly.com" site recently, I´m browsing their catalog now and I found this nice double-breasted suit: http://www.mensitaly.com/products.aspx?id=845 But the buttons are on the other side! In the world where men´s and women´s gamrnets are often distinguishable only by...

    Michael Jackson's Stuff

I´d love to have Hitler´s cardigan lol As for the catalog - the furniture is mostly very nice, but the decorative items are often more than disgusting. All those statues and statuettes, especially the china ones... I think I need to clean my eyes, before looking at the other items. The paintings...

    Fedora Loungers Map

It took a while until I figured out how to do it. But I´m there, proud of being the most eastern lounger on the map yet :)

    Magnoli Clothiers- New Zealand

The garments may be slightly overpriced, but they are custom made. And when I compared what I´d pay for a customized suit here and what I´d pay to Indy, Indy was a clear winner. Not to mention that the suits are actually cheaper than average quality suits I can buy around here.

What do You Styling People Drink?

Everybody thinks so :) And who thinks that german beer is the best, they obviously don´t know about ours lol It´s sad that more and more small breweries are being bought by giants, like Pilsner, or Budvar.

my new frock coats and cape

What to say... Thank you for many hours wasted on watching this series! That´s like with How I Met Your Mother, The Avengers, and many more, all over again... God, I´m addictive.

What do You Styling People Drink?

One friend of mine drank a shot of pure alcohol and he spent the next three days in bed with 40 centigrade temperature... Nothing to be really proud of :) To the topic - I´m czech, what would you think I drink? Of course, beer. A lots of beer. It´s the cheapest option here, cheaper than any...

    Show off your vintage desktops!

I think there was a thread on this topic, but why not share our wallpapers again? There is a Ju-52 on my desktop, my all-time favourite airliner and one of the most beatiful aircraft ever. (I wonder where I took this image from...)

    Handkerchiefs and Pocket Squares

Using the terminology from that web (http://www.samhober.com/howtofoldpocketsquares/pocketsquarefolds.htm) I mostly use the "Four mountains". When I´m wearing a pocket square, it´s never too flashy :)

Fashion fads we love to hate

The renaissance codpieces are not bad. They are just so funny! John Hus (1369-1415) wrote something on this topic. He criticised them, because the noblemen stuffed them with cloth so much that the stitches often didn´t hold the pressure, so the codpiece didn´t cover anything at all, while the...

    Valentine's Day. What's your view?

Thank you, you are right. As I understand it from the translation (Shakespeare can not be translated by amateurs, such as me), it means something like "men can fight for our love and we want to be conquered, not to conquer". Which is what I meant.

    Valentine's Day. What's your view?

Yes, I see that I may have used some inappropriate words and I apologize. Of course, intelligent and emancipated women will never agree with this attitude, but many men just have it and there´s nothing you can do about it. I´m normally shy and not very confident with women, but there are times...
