Mary-
I don't claim to know anything about vintage shoes, and I'm just as in the dark as you are about mine!
But I can tell you this: If a doctor made a diagnosis on you that you didn't like or didn't think was correct, wouldn't you go and get a second opinion? Find another cobbler! If one...
I'm using the white top and black skirt for my bridesmaids. I'm doing the top in white charmuese and the skirt and sash in turquoise dupioni. Then I'm going to be doing a white swing coat to match because my wedding is in January.
I love this pattern!
Does anyone know of where I can find a size 20 1940's one piece bathing suit? (40-42 bust)
My friend Sharon is joining me at Reading this year and doesn't have something to wear on a really hot day. We've already got the fabric picked out and the skirt pattern for play suit effect. But ebay...

Where is a good place to get true vintage shoes- NOT on ebay? And for a reasonable price. I'm not looking for reproduction either. I've used up most of my resources and I'm looking for some new ones. Any hidden gems out there?
Thanks ladies!
Miss Bella Hell- Your inbox is full, so I'll reply here-

You're welcome!

We use them in the wedding industry for a couple things. There are the garter ones so the bride or bridesmaids can keep their $$, lipstick, keys etc close to them. But then we also use them in the waistband of the dresses for diabetic machines that girls need to keep on them at all times.
I did happen to find a cobbler who specializes in vintage shoes (lucky me!) in Drexel Hill, PA. So if anyone is nearby and is interested, I will give them that information.
