    Fedoras afield

It's been cold and clear the last couple of days here in the Black Forest - producing the "typical" Black Forest grey tones: My Panizza Royal for the cold weather: It was clear enough to see the Swiss alps (Eiger and Jungfrau) from here - only the second time I've experienced it clear...

    purchasing a fedora in europe

I've never purchased any hats online, since I prefer to try them on - escpecially with my small head. So, without any recommendation from me, this website in Germany often pops up in searches etc.: http://www.hutshopping.de/ As to whether they are any good or whether their prices are...

    Colditz

Sorry, after rereading your original post, I think I misinterpreted your original sentiment. Very few, I would imagine I think this is generation dependent. Certainly within my generation, Colditz has something of a legendary status, due to the films, game etc. that I mentioned earlier.

    Colditz

No, there's generally a lack of knowledge about the place. Many Brits and Americans know about Colditz due to films such as "The Great Escape". Likewise, when I was young, there was a Television series entitled "Escape from Colditz", which was incredibly popular. Most of my friends even had...

    Two for a penny................

Most of those I've never heard of. As a kid I remember getting sixpence (the old silver one) as pocket money, and being able to buy "Fruit Salads" and "Blackjacks" at eight for a penny. I guess that makes me old, right? :)

    Colditz

I've also been there a couple of times. What always surprises me is that most Germans have never heard of the place or it's history.

I can't offer the individual constructive comments that others make, but despite this, as usual, you're all looking great guys!

Same here, but with one minor exception: My wife looks better than me in all my hats. :)

    PANIZZA paparazzi

I think that might be due to camera perspective. Thanks for that - I didn't know. Their website shows that they also make Hamilton hats (if I've understood correctly). Mutinelli also had some of these in stock (but not in my size)
