I'm curious about these style of jackets which splay out similar to the board racer.... if it is designed for functionality whilst sitting, is it ideal for the zipper to end right at the top of where your belt buckle would be on normal rise pants? I've seen some people's where the zipper ends...
I used to have a Vermont Espresso jacket, I think which is a bit lighter than the recent darker seal versions around. If I recall correctly, that one did get water spots/darker when it got wet enough, but back to normal after drying. It was a beautiful leather though, very lightweight and...
oh wow good to know. Did you tell Theodoros? Seems like he would've done something about it, but I guess shipping back and forth would've been prohibitive? Still would be good to know whether it's an install error or zipper flaw.
btw I think these guys got a darker brown horween vermont. The horween vermont espresso I had was definitely lighter, maybe reach out to JL and see what they have.
have to be careful with those hookless zips. You could probably try contacting Freewheelers to see if they can sell you a replacement zipper. Zipper replacement should be too hard from the looks of it (remove the top u stopper and re-insert the replacement).
please report back what he says and which measurements he gives if you can. A part of me would just want to trust him and see whether he makes something better fitting than I ever had before. What would you do if he came back at you with a shoulder or chest measurement that you feel is out of...
Thanks! Yes that would be great if you have the time :) I'm trying to decide between asking for one or not, but I think I'll mostly be wearing without a collar so I'm just a bit concerned that having the buttons there might look a bit busy
Thanks for posting these Nick. I'm curious how the detachable collar is secured... looks like buttons all around the leather collar? When the collar is detached, do you find these buttons in any way annoying? They seem like they might be slightly visible?
I like the mulholland on the right body, but maybe not for me (tall-ish and slim-ish with long legs proportional to my upper body)... it kind of disrupts the lines of my body and makes my torso look shorter... plus the stitching on the handwarmers kind of accentuates the belly (especially since...
Nice what leather did you go with for the thedi?
thanks! how do you find the washed buffalo compares in weight/feel/wearability/malleability to the Shinki on the Mulholland you just received? I've been looking for something a little bit more easy wearing than even mid-weight weight leathers...
