Here are some of my first pics. Since the hat doesn't fit me I thought I'd have some friends pose with it. From the Los Angeles Natural History Museum The Llama The Mastodon Mastodon and Elk close up and finally the Bison it's good to have friends who are curators :) -

I think that beaver finish is one of the names for the long haired finishes. Actual fur content may have very little to do with the designation. Beaver Brand has their Grand Beaver which to the best of my knowledge is a 100% hare/rabbit felt. Although I see no reason one could not make a 100%... -

I have no doubts I can MAKE it fit but since it's not my hat I don't really want to reshape. If it was my hat I'd get out the spray bottle and my band block and it would be a perfect fit in a few days. -

I've got a Peluche on order from Beaver Brand. I sent them a message asking about Peluche hats and the said they were not currently offering one but would be glad to make one to my specs. I agree that for the price I'd normally go custom but I don't know any custom hatters offering anything like... -

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?
Here you go, it's kind of a fake pleated liner. I cut the plastic tip protector out. I've thought of cleaning it up but I really like the patina it's acquired over the years. -
