Got a pair of "D.J. Leavenworth" shoes from Goodwill for $6.50 today. I assume they're late 60s-mid 70s, but I could be wrong. EDIT: Did some searching and apparently they're military shoes. Huh...- Luftwaffles

So, not exactly showing a tie, but I need advice. I bought a 30s six fold tie pattern from EvaDress, and I'm curious as to what fabrics and weaves to use? I have some deep red charmeuse, would that work? It's a sorta velvety satin. Any suggestions would be nice.- Luftwaffles

Bit chilly tonight, so I got my vintage (not sure of the date) Woolrich jacket, a cotton flannelette shirt, a 60s skinny tie, and 50s navy serge slacks. Also, sleep? Who needs that when you have coffee?- Luftwaffles

It seems to be cut VERY boxy-ish(?). The shoulders have a lot of padding in them, and the underarms are cut with a lot of room, probably to enhance the draping effect.- Luftwaffles

I've bought paper collars from Amazon Dry Goods before, and they're really not that bad. I might even go so far as to say I prefer them over starched cotton due to their economical merits. Here's me in a 1910s/20s-styled high collar.- Luftwaffles
