    Vintage Eyeglasses

These are reproduction Dienst-Brille German glasses that I got from Hessen Antique. Gonna get them fitted with prescription lenses after a trip to the doc.

What did you get for Christmas?

Uh... a gray three piece with peak lapels, a new pocket watch, some shirts and ties, three fedoras, $120, and love from my boyfriend. Not a bad haul :D

    Post New Hats Here!

It's in Taylors. You go down Wade Hampton until you see the Hardee's and a big thrift store. Go down that road until you see a sign that says "Hats. Over 3000 in stock" It has two cardboard cutout silhouettes on the front of it. I'll find the address later. EDIT: Okay, I believe it's on...

    Post New Hats Here!

Went to a local hat and knife store and got two "Park Royal" fedoras, one in tan and the other a light gray. $84 total. Not bad.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly..

Well, a girl complimented my tie at school, and I said it was made of boyfriend material. Does that count?

You swap the buttons and open the buttonholes. At the moment, it's set for men, but there are closed buttonholes so it can be a women's coat as well. Rather interesting way to make unisex clothing, I think.

Bought this today for $35 on eBay. It has buttonholes for both men and women apparently.

    Putting it all together

I was more or less trying to ask whether the waistcoat should match the trousers or the jacket. I've decided on trousers, as I personally think it matches better.

    Pomade

I always use a mix. Small bit of Murray's with a good amount of Suave Groom 'n' Clean goes a long way. On top of that, my new haircut (Thanks sister) makes it much easier to style. And if I need any shine, a small dab of Brylcreem does just the thing.

    Putting it all together

For a summer suit (navy jacket and cream trousers) would anybody recommend a waistcoat, and if so, what colors would be ideal?

    1920s suits

Found a scan with double breasted notch lapels and a very... interesting center piece.

After several months of bargain-hunting, my black tie ensemble is complete. Instead of the abominations that most wear to prom, I decided to go with a worsted Spencer jacket with matching trousers, a nice turndown collar shirt, black tone-on-tone self-tie bow tie, black silk cummerbund and...

The general decline in standards today

As I'm in my senior year of high school, I have to deal with a lot of lovely types who always poke fun at the suits (Despite my repeated stating that it's what REAL men wear) and those who ask such thought-out questions such as: "When was the War of 1812?" "Is Switzerland in Germany?" "Oh the...

What is your favorite aircraft of all time?

The Focke-Wulf 190. I personally consider it one of the best Axis fighters of the war, and I feel the Me-262 is overrated

I'll be taking probably two or so years of German once I hit college next year, but anything would help. Never to early to search! Back on the topic of militaria, I bought a US Army service jacket a while ago, and here are the pictures from eBay (no ability to take my own plus laziness)...

    Show us your Militaria

I wasn't trying to "Separate" anything, I was merely making an observation. The jacket was a giveaway to his Panzer crew status. I also know that, yes, most of the Waffen SS were fanatics. My great-grandfather, who was a tank gunner in the Wehrmacht, would tell my dad how he would try to avoid...
