Ordering a custom Aero. Advice or suggenstions needed.

Did you consider the Premier Highwayman (not that the 1/2 belt is a bad choice)? That’s what I went with for an all around jacket that could fit a lot of different styles—dress it up or down. Lots of custom options too—I ”rockered” mine up a bit but can still wear it for business casual. I went...

This was the hide we selected for my Osuna boots. You can see how heavy the leather is. They would have made for a great smooth side out too--an oily shoulder leather. Almost went with the same hide, smooth side out for the tops (again too many options lol).

^^ Those sharks are nice! I did consider shark and hippo, but the problem is there are too many options with a custom boot, and I tend to agonize over what I want!! I didn't realize how much labor went into the stitching--but since it's done by hand, it's time consuming--hence an upcharge for...

    Cowboy Boots

Incoming: When I was at a recent horse event at Tejon Ranch, Osuna Boots had a booth. I have some friends who are very happy with their Osuna's and I was really impressed with the quality. So..I had Esteban measure me up and placed an order. I was originally going to go for something...

    Pocket Knife

Well this one is very tiny--only 3" long folded (my pics are a bit misleading). So it would have to be a petite cut steak! It's a great fruit knife though!! I’m guessing you have a larger version—I know that Case makes two larger versions. Buck’s are nice too.

    Pocket Knife

Well I was weak and sprung for a Case Tiny Texas Toothpick--I was taken by the antique bone finish. I wanted a small and inconspicuous knife to carry at work. At first I wanted something with more blades but I ended up liking the small size and light weight of the TTT. Almost got the small...

    Pocket Knife

I'm enjoying my new Benchmade knives. I bought the Mini Barrage (black one) a couple of months ago and lost it--thought it got lost at the ranch when I was out riding my horse, but it never turned up. So I bought the Mini Crooked River (wood handle). Then a couple of days ago I found the M.B...

Wanted: 1930's-40's Gibson L-00 or L-00 Guitar in any condition

It has kerfing. The back/sides/neck are maple. The neck is a fairly pronounced V shape. It's seen some serious use, but plays like a new guitar with no structural issues (I've had a little work done to it prior). It's got a surprisingly warm sound for a maple guitar and it's pretty much a...

Wanted: 1930's-40's Gibson L-00 or L-00 Guitar in any condition

My L00 has the small sunburst spruce top,and a rare maple body. I’ve only ever heard of one other like mine.

Wanted: 1930's-40's Gibson L-00 or L-00 Guitar in any condition

Well I would never part with my '33 with an elevated board--they have something special going on IMO--like the one that TMitchell59 posted up! Good luck in your search, they're out there!

    Cowboy Boots

You might look at the Darn Tough line--they have several over-the-calf models. I have the Westerner (which is on the lighter side), and a pair of the Mountaineering socks which are very heavy that I got to go with a pair of boots that are a bit too big on me. I think they make some in between...

    Chelsea Boots?

I don't know that the qualify as a Chelsea boot but since the discussion has gone here I just purchased a pair of Redback Great Barrier boots and I'm quite please with the quality. I was fortunate to have factory store locally so I got to try them on. I'm kind of a hard fit for this type of...

    Cowboy Boots

A good way to get a fancy boot and not endure the expense of costly inlays/overlays, etc. I thought about something similar for my last pair of Bond's but saved my pennies for a few more months and went over the top lol.

    Cowboy Boots

I don't know if it's a regional thing but the "walking" heel as I know it is much lower than that pictured--maybe an 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" max, just slightly underslung. A "riding" or "dogging" heel would be the higher heel that is more underslung--somewhere around 2"ish, very underslung. I don't...

    Cowboy Boots

My feet have changed quite a bit over time. I used to be a perfect 9 1/2D—and could grab most any brand boot and get a good fit. I’ve had to fit progressively longer/narrower, and my arch length is longer but not so much my overall length. When I worked at the boot shop I moved into 10 1/2B...

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

Well, suede is just flipped around smooth (rough side out)--so wouldn't be any more or less supple than the particular leather :) The suede is cool in that it gives it less of a "biker" look for lack of a better description--if that's what you're after.
