This is a straw Art made a number of years ago and it is unworn. It is a size 7 3/8 and could be perfect for Hot climates as it has a really nice weave in the crown for maximum air flow. It has a two hat ribbons an orange and a green one. The sweat band is leather.
Measurements: Crown 4.5" Brim...
I would add that the jacket I purchased was the first version over several years of the Orvis motorcycle jacket. The company may have changed the manufacturer as the later ones (like the one in the photo) had the lighter affect on the seams; mine was much darker. They may have sourced another...
Nuff said! Now back to simply leather. One of the first jackets I purchased on this damn near 20 year quest for the whatever perfect leather jacket was an Orvis motorcycle jacket along the line of an Aero Highwayman. It was made in China and the leather was thick and the lining was nice and...
Picked this Aero M422A up off the Bay last week. It's more of a "Beater" because the lining is showing some wear around the collar and will eventually have to be relined but the Sheepskin collar is awesome and the goat is super thick. Price was well below norm so I am going to wear the crap out...
That's Great! It sounds like Stuart made some compensation for the sheepskin in the sizing. I thought he might have when I read the measurements. I think you have found a toasty friend.
What is the shoulder width? I saw the other measurements on ebay. It goes without saying that this jacket is really one of the better Langlitz jackets on the forum. It's probably not the right size for me but I am curious about the shoulders.
I think Mysteryo would have to jump in on this. He put it up and I snared it! I have owned it for a couple of years and worn it for casual wear on occasion. It's light compared to my motorcycle jackets but that wool lining makes it toasty. I have a new project in mind so I am letting it go to...
I bought this from Mysteryo a couple of years ago. He had Aero design it and frankly it is a gorgeous jacket. It is a Size 44 with two tone leather all Vincenza horse with a gorgeous highland wool lining. It is in excellent shape with no issues. The jacket is very comfortable and the horsehide...
You know that is truly a Winter Coat. It is set up for at least one or two button closure with a sweater underneath. It seems to hearken back to the WW1 motorcycle couriers. I dig it. If I lived in the northern states it would be a definite must! You did well!
That was me. I hated having to let that jacket go as it was the coolest jacket I have ever owned. I just could not get the weight off to fit. I will probably order another from Stuart in the future but get it correctly fitted. The pockets alone made it just perfect for me personally. I would add...
The only problem scent I have encountered is with a used leather jacket where the previous owner wore to much Polo cologne..... that's a real carcinogen!!!!
I have a better ides. Take a week off and fly down to Mallorca; hang out in a few open air cafe's and get a little vitamin D. It's good for the jacket and good for the soul.
I think you have a great fit there and should keep it. Where is the Belt? Do you use it? I think with the pocket flaps out and the belt you might get a decent look as well. Good looking jacket and a guarantee of many years of wear.
I am not really sure about this but doesn't he run the whole business by himself? I had a large format screen printing shop back in the early 80's and ran it by myself for 4 years....it about drove me crazy. The craft was wonderful but doing everything on your own can really be a problem.
I...
John just mentioned thick cowhide not the type of tanning. It is thicker than Goat but not like horse.
This is definitely a good addition to the collection. This is my first jacket from Goodwear as I am not into A-2's necessarily (rib knits bug me and catch my watch). It is a nicely made jacket...
