A find, not a deal. A Schott jacket with a Keith Haring painting on it. Please don't ask if acetone will remove the artwork...;) $300,000 https://www.1stdibs.com/art/paintings/figurative-paintings/keith-haring-schott-motorcycle-jacket-painting-keith-haring/id-a_146048/

    Washing leather jackets

No need to use the washing machine. At all. Fill a tub with warm water, add a mild detergent, submerge the jacket, knead gently, repeat if needed. Tons of dirt and dyes will come out. Dry lying flat on some towels, also put towels inside jacket for quicker water absorption. Replace wet towels. I...

Aero Premiere 1930s Half Belt Russet Badalassi- SQUEAKING

I have a 60-year old Cal that squeaks like crazy. I figured it might as well, it paid its dues, deserves to squeak if it wants to, lol.

    Washing leather jackets

All good, just be careful with the radiator. Any hot spot will permanently shrink and deform the leather. Better to dry lying flat on some towels, but it takes 5 days, lol.

Denim Jackets - New or Vintage

Yeah, I started (set) the fades by wearing the jacket for several winter months as an underlayer. Now wearing it normally, 3-4 times/week. Heavy denim helps contrasty fades because the creases are epic, once they are set.

Denim Jackets - New or Vintage

I am finding that in South Florida climate a denim jacket is the most versatile for me. It is bearable when it is hot outside, and very useful indoors when AC is blasting. Wingman denim, I am wearing this one all the time. At 22-oz it works well in the tropics, surprisingly.

    crocodile jackets

The top pic is actually a very nice fit. Nice, narrow sleeves. Not everyone can rock reptile hide, but I imagine it can look good if you have the right attitude. Must have a matching croc watch band and boots (lol, not). Not my cup of tea. If they have this hide in Ferrari red, I have a feeling...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Well, I officially joined the Schott Rancher crowd. Found a 38 for a decent price so jumped on it. I may actually be able to wear it a few times a year in South Florida. A Gordon Lightfoot ticket stub from March 8, 1972 was in one of the pockets, so that's cool.
