It is exactly the same as the xlink. You can download the update software from their site and it will do the rest automatically.
Besides being cheaper from radioshack, you can easily return it if it gives you problems.

I am pleased. There have been some hiccups, like last week after an update I couldn't receive calls (straight to voicemail.) Re pairing the bluetooth seemed to fix it.
