    Dobbs I aquired from Circa in New Bedford, Mass. No Liner. The sweat reads M.C. Swift & Son, New Bedford. No nibbles but the ribbon has some white splotches all over.

    PORTIS PATH

    Bringing this one back from the dead. Portis Boater off ebay. Didn't have a sweat so I double-side taped a grosgrain ribbon instead. Liner reads Portis "Typically American" Featherweight Super-Flex Compared to other boaters I have held, this one is definatley light!

    I don't know anything about boaters and naptha, but to clean the dust and grime out, I went over mine with a vacuum attachment a few times with great success.     Went to Circa vintage clothing store in New Bedford Massachusetts, while vacationing in Cape Cod and found a Dobbs. Its a very dark drown with a deep burgandy ribbon and edge binding. Pictures soon.

    Ugh, I would do it. I have a horrible habit of wearing hats a size too small. I just bought a johnnyphi, and if it was my size 7 3/8 I would. I couldn't trash the sweat on that hat by putting it on my too big noggin. it will get a good home, jealous whoever gets it.

    Spot on right there. The last 7 3/8 Whippet on eBay i saw went for 400 bucks. For example I see at least 8 30's- 40's vintage suits in my size 38 a week on eBay. That's why i have Ebay-banned myself.:D

    Sharp outfit, I like the hat and glasses alot. Are the glasses vintage or new? If new, where did you get them? Could be worse, you could be coming to work in bermuda shorts and flip-flops. If I were your boss, I wouldn't be complainin'!
